Commack, NY—Tamron Co., Ltd., a manufacturer of precision optics, displayed samples of a newly designed tripod mount ring (long type, Model A011TL) for its SP 150–600mm Di VC USD lens in Nikon, Canon and Sony mounts.
Compared to the lens’s supplied short tripod mount, the new long-type design provides an extended base surface. This extra space makes it possible to add a second screw hole for secure mounting, thereby enhancing stability and versatility. The larger base also has knurled finger grooves, making it easier for users to hold the base and carry the lens.
