DNP Offers Flat-Fee Repair Program for Out-of-Warranty Printers

Concord, NC—DNP Imagingcomm America (DNP IAM) introduced a flat-fee repair program for its professional dye-sublimation photo printers. Any DNP printer beyond its limited warranty period not covered by DNP’s Advanced Exchange or Extended Service programs are eligible for a flat-fee repair.

Thermal printhead limitation and warranty periods on new products begin on the date of purchase. Warranties vary by printer model and require a proof-of-purchase or sales invoice. The limited warranty of qualifying DS40 printer purchases covers one year or 40,000 prints (4×6), whichever comes first. Purchases of the RX1 are covered for one year or 30,000 prints (4×6), and the DS80 is one year or 10,000 prints (8×10).

The flat-fee program offers three levels of repairs: 1) a general tune-up in which no major repair problems are found; 2) a standard repair that does not include a thermal printhead replacement; and 3) a repair that includes replacement of the printer’s thermal printhead. All level repairs are done on a flat-fee pricing basis and include parts and labor.

“The flat-fee repair program underscores the commitment to product reliability, support, and service that our customers have come to expect,” said Kazuhiro Kawabata, president of DNP Imagingcomm America. “This program is a show of confidence in our solutions and ensures our clients can function cost-effectively and with as little interruption to their operations as possible.”

All repairs under the flat-fee program are conducted at the DNP IAM repair facility in the United States. To arrange a service repair, customers must call DNP technical support. dnpphoto.com
