Edison, NJ—Vivitar, a consumer electronics company that designs and manufactures affordable tech products, unveiled its Air Defender x camera drone with Wi-Fi (DRC333) as well as the DVR794HD Wi-Fi action cam. Also being highlighted is Vivitar’s DVR783HD and DVR786HD waterproof action cameras.
Air Defender x. Vivitar’s newest drone, the Wi-Fi enabled Air Defender x captures live action photos from above with its 16.1 megapixel camera as well as records HD video. It is capable of delivering footage for 24 minutes of flight time per charge of its two LiPo batteries.
The Air Defender features an easy-to-use radio transmitter with multidirectional controls and the ability to hover, flip and fly upside down. Additionally, it can fly at night utilizing 32 LED lights that are wrapped around the drone. Plus, its onboard Wi-Fi permits users to control the drone via a smartphone app that provides a real-time, bird’s-eye view of the flight. DVR794HD. With a waterproof case, this action cam is built to capture summer adventures in Full HD from a mountaintop or while snorkeling. The ultracompact DVR794HD features a 12.1 megapixel sensor and shoots 120º wide-angle, high-definition videos in 1,920×1,080p Full HD. Users can take advantage of live video streaming and the ability to upload videos to social networks. They can share content in real time through the cam’s dedicated iOS and Android apps via a smartphone. Other features include: a 2-inch preview screen; mount accessories; a wireless remote control; and a built-in rechargeable lithium-ion battery. $79.

DVR786HD. This waterproof action video camera features a 12.1MP sensor and Full HD video recording with 4x zoom. It also offers a 2-inch preview screen, a waterproof case, mount accessories, a built-in rechargeable Li-Ion battery and wireless remote control. A memory card slot expands storage capacity. $69.
DVR783HD. This 5.1MP waterproof action camcorder captures HD video with 4x zoom and offers all the same features as its DVR786 sibling. $39.
