Long Beach, CA—Epson America debuted the Epson Perfection V39 scanner, featuring 4,800-dpi optical resolution, no warm-up time and buttons to scan directly to e-mail and PDFs.

The compact V39 is designed to make scanning, restoring and sharing content easy, enabling consumers to scan and share photos directly to Facebook, Google Drive and other cloud services. It’s also able to scan oversized prints, documents and artwork. Its removable lid accommodates bulky media, including books and photo albums.

“The Perfection V39 makes digitizing and organizing content simple with high-quality scanning, convenient social sharing and scan-to-cloud capabilities,” said Larry Trevarthen, director, Imaging, Epson America, Inc. “From photos and keepsakes for family archiving to organizing important documents and DIY creative projects, the Perfection V39 is a must-have tool for today’s households.”

The Perfection V39 has easy-to-use front buttons for simple scan jobs, plus a space-saving built-in kickstand for vertical placement. And it comes with a software package that includes: ArcSoft Scan-n-Stitch Deluxe to scan oversized prints and documents; Easy Photo Fix technology to restore color to faded photos; Advanced Digital Dust Correction to remove dust from scanned photos; and Optical Character Recognition (OCR) to convert scanned documents into editable text.

The color photo and document scanner is USB powered, requiring only one source for power and connection to the computer with no AC adapter needed.

The Epson Perfection V39 has an MSRP of $99.99 and comes with Epson support and a one-year limited warranty.
