Eyefi Introduces Mobi to Lifestyle Media at NYC Photo Shoot Event

1925

Mountain View, CA—A group of Eyefi employees traveled to New York City  to host an event at Drift Studio, where both photographers and media were encouraged to demo Eyefi products. Members of the lifestyle media and bloggers in the food, travel and fashion communities were invited to participate in the photo shoots alongside some of NYC’s hottest photographers, including Jeremy Cowart.

Eyefi asked attendees to bring their cameras and arranged different stations for guests to shoot, including models, a food stylist presentation and a unique floral design.

The event was termed a “sandbox” event, meaning it got people together from different sectors of the photography industry—portrait photographers, heavy Instagrammers, publishers, models, floral designers and journalists—to stimulate interesting conversations and to learn about new trends in the photo world.

The venue, Drift Studio in the Chelsea district of New York, just contiguous to the popular High Line attraction, offered great natural light for the shoots. And Eyefi advisor Jeremy Cowart was on hand to mentor guests and answer questions about his workflow and photo sessions. He talked about how using the Eyefi Mobi Pro memory card in his DSLR gives him the ability to see and share his capture shots immediately with clients on screens other than the camera’s LCD monitor.

For those familiar with Eyefi’s cards and cloud products, it was an opportunity to hear about recent feature launches, such as “smart tags.” For people who were new to Eyefi, the event and its interactive nature showcased the benefits of syncing images directly and wirelessly from a camera to other devices.

The Eyefi Mobi Pro 32GB Wi-Fi SD card combines wireless transfer features with photo apps and integrated cloud services. It enables instant transfer of photographs to a phone, tablet, desktop or TVs. Integrated apps and services automatically organize photos by date and time as they are taken and allow for instant editing and sharing via social networks. The card works with Eyefi Cloud to make photos instantly available on all devices. For photographers who shoot with a camera and a phone, it automatically merges photos from different cameras into one collection, and photographers can add computer-stored photos to the collection. eyefi.com
