Santa Rosa, CA—Geared for travel, weddings and on-location assignments, Think Tank’s new Airport Roller Derby camera bag is engineered to enable photographers to maneuver through crowded spaces and to minimize muscle fatigue. The four dual wheel sets (eight wheels) provide three ways to roll: upright at your side, tilt it to roll on its back wheels, or tilt it on its side wheels to roll through narrow airplane aisles.

The high-capacity carry-on’s weight distribution allows for transporting a 15-inch laptop in its own dedicated pocket, along with two standard DSLRs with lenses attached or one pro DSLR and one standard DSLR, both with lenses attached, a tripod and six to seven standard zoom lenses or strobes. It accommodates a 400mm f/2.8 lens unattached. Travel-ready security features include a lock and cable and lockable zippers to tether the bag for domestic and international travel.

“When designing the Airport Roller Derby we first listened to feedback from working professionals about the features they most desired in a rolling camera bag,” said Doug Murdoch, Think Tank’s president and lead designer. “Overwhelmingly they told us they wanted a rolling bag that held their photography gear and laptop, while allowing them to navigate tight spaces such as terminals and aircraft. The Airport Roller Derby delivers on all counts with optimum navigation, ergonomic design, superior organization and premium materials that are the hallmarks of Think Tank’s products.”

The Airport Roller Derby features: YKK RC Fuse (abrasion-resistant) zippers; 1680D ballistic nylon; 420D velocity nylon; custom-designed, replaceable wheels with sealed steel bearings; a rubberized laminate reinforcement; 3D air mesh; and three-ply bonded nylon thread. Its interior dimensions are 12.6×18.5×5.5–7.5 inches, and its exterior dimensions are 14x22x9 inches. The rolling bag weighs in at 10.5–11 pounds. Its suggested retail price is $389.75.

Think Tank also released two additions to its My 2nd Brain line of carrying devices for Apple MacBooks and tablets: the My 2nd Brain Briefcase 13 and My 2nd Brain Briefcase 15. These “mobile offices” for Apple power users provide access to a 13-inch or 15-inch MacBook or Air, iPad, iPhone and accessories. The briefcases are designed to improve the workflow of tech-focused travelers and creative professionals by keeping their second brains—their laptops and accessories—organized and their workflow clutter-free.

The lightweight briefcases include dedicated, clear, padded pockets to hold the accessories most often used by serious Apple users. Their travel-ready design provides two compressible side pockets for water bottles or a compact umbrella, and a pass-through handle that slides over a rolling luggage handle. They also come with their own rain cover.
