Pine Brook, NJ—HP Marketing Corp. introduced the Kaiser KR 90 LED ring light (model 203250) into the U.S. market. The KR 90 features 30 three-chip, high-performance LEDs with a color temperature of ±5,500K.
The ring light has a continuously variable control, and the color temperature remains constant at all settings. Its built-in 1500 mAh lithium-ion battery powers the KR 90 at full output for about two hours, with longer operating times at lower power settings. The KR 90 also features a stabilized output that does not decrease as the battery voltage decreases. In addition, the device automatically shuts off when the battery needs recharging, and the battery can be fully recharged in 2.5 hours. The KR 90 charger can be operated from any 100 to 240V AC source as well as from a 12V car battery.
Other KR 90 features include: an all-metal duralumin body that measures 5.6 inches in diameter, is 1.3 inches deep and weighs 10.6 ounces; it screws directly into any 77mm diameter lens mount and is supplied with adapter rings to mount to 72mm, 67mm, 62mm, 58mm, 55mm and 52mm lens mounts; a metal 1/4-20 female tripod bushing to attach it to a tripod, bracket or light stand; a minimum working distance of 1.2 inches; an output of 1,650 lux at 12 inches; a wide angle of radiation of 110°; a built-in diffuser; an LED battery charge indicator; an individual on-off switch; a dimmer control knob; and a self-contained designed that allows the hot shoe and tripod socket of the camera to be left free for other accessories.
