Melville, NY—Version 1.1.0 of the Nikon NX MobileAir smartphone application was released. The mobile app uploads images taken with Nikon digital cameras to an FTP server without using a computer.
In addition, Nikon will continue to provide updates for NX MobileAir to meet the needs of various users, including professional photographers.
Nikon NX MobileAir Version 1.1.0 Upgrades
As part of the update, functions such as image filtering, which uses image analysis technologies, were added or modified to improve speed and efficiency of workflows.
Moreover, an algorithm that uses deep learning to analyze images when importing was added with V1.1.0. As a result, users can filter images in specific criteria. For example, subject types and conditions. This will permit quicker access to intended images.
In addition, photographers can now adjust JPEG compression ratio and pixel counts when uploading to an FTP server. They can adjust for file and image sizes. This will achieve faster uploads to improve workflow from shooting to delivery.
Furthermore, Nikon added support for the import of NEF (RAW) images. This means that, in addition to previously supported JPEG images, photographers can also import RAW images stored in a camera or smart device to albums in NX MobileAir. Â
Another change includes additions to the settings of custom IPTC metadata presets that users can import/export. What’s more, a new function prevents previously imported images that were deleted on the app from being reimported for enhanced workflow.
Finally, the app’s enhancements regarding user friendliness consist of changes to operability and displays. This includes the way in which images are imported from the camera. Moreover, a newly added function synchronizes the clocks of the camera and smart device.
