Valhalla, NY—Fujifilm North America Corporation introduced the Instax Mini Link as the latest in its lineup of instant printing devices. Instax Mini Link is a smartphone photo printer with functions to make on-the-go Instax instant printing easier.
The diminutive photo printer creates Instax instant prints from the user’s smartphone camera roll. This is accomplished by connected the free Mini Link app with the printer via Bluetooth. The app, available for iPhones and Android devices, allows phoneographers to utilize creative features and seamless transfer images for printing.
Instax Mini Link Key Features
The lightweight, handheld smartphone printer transfers a print in about 12 seconds. It supports continuous printing and also is capable of printing about 100 Instax prints per charge.
Moreover, a video print function prints a selected frame from a smartphone video. Users can scroll through smartphone video frames to capture a moment of their choosing and then print it.
In addition, the device’s party print function creates a single picture with photos sent from multiple users. This function connects up to five smartphones to the app; it combines a selected picture from each device into one Instax collage print. Furthermore, an option within this function is surprise mode, in which the collage is not revealed until the images appear on the print.
The app also contains design frames that users overlay onto their images for a custom Instax print. They can additionally enhance their smartphone ima
ges with artistic filters or change the brightness, contrast and saturation of the images. Another feature is the ability to combine up to eight pictures into a single print collage via the app.
Moreover, when taking pictures from the Instax app on a connected smartphone, the printer can remotely control the smartphone camera. For example, a user can zoom in by facing the printer down; zoom out by facing it up; and release the shutter by pressing the power button. They can also print multiple copies of a picture by holding the printer upside down and pressing the power button.
Finally, the app offers intuitive operability, such as swiping up on the smartphone screen to transfer a picture for printing.
Plus, the printer can receive picture data from Fujifilm’s X series and GFX system digital cameras using the Camera Remote app to produce prints.
Fujifilim’s Instax Mini Link smartphone printer comes in white, pink and navy blue models. It has a suggested retail price of $99.95.
