New York, NY—Polaroid’s new instant film features Pantone’s Color of the Year 2024, highlighting the power of human connection. Polaroid and Pantone collaborated on the new edition of color film, a collectible collab consisting of eight instant films in a velvety peach hue.

“As Pantone’s Color of the Year, peach fuzz represents a collective longing for unity, warmth and compassion during a time when nurturing these qualities is essential. These are feelings that Polaroid photographers often express with the medium of instant photography by visually communicating complex emotions and experiences,” Polaroid announced.
Moreover, Polaroid photography offers a unique visual form of expression. It enables creators to slow down and enjoy what’s right in front of the camera. This visual communication is also a way for people to express complex feelings that might be difficult to articulate through words alone. Further, that is exactly what the Pantone Color of the Year 2024 celebrates. 
“Appreciating both the good and the challenging moments is what makes life real and worth living. We hope that our new film will inspire creators to highlight these moments and rejoice human connections,” added Oskar Smolokowski, Polaroid’s chairman.
Polaroid Pantone Color of the Year 2024 Edition i-Type film is available for sale beginning January on polaroid.com as well as at retailers worldwide starting February 1.
What’s more, the new film is compatible with the Polaroid Now+, Now, I-2 cameras and the Lab printer. It will have a suggested retail price of $19.99 per pack.
