The National Retail Federation's annual convention last month was its biggest ever, a company representative said in an email to the press.
“This year's NRF Annual Convention was a tremendous success with attendance of approximately 18,500, matching 2008 numbers — our best year ever,” NRF's Mike Gatti wrote in an email to the Web site Retail Customer Experience. He added that the show featured 473 exhibitors, while retail attendance rose 20 percent.
“All in all, attendees expressed optimism about the coming year,” Gatti concluded.
The convention will be held for the 100th time next year, and is already scheduled for January 9-12, 2011 at the Javits Convention Center in New York.
