Ronkonkoma, NY—Sigma Corporation of America announced the pricing of four prime Sigma F1.4 DC DN Contemporary lenses for the Canon EOS R mirrorless system. They are the 16mm F1.4 DC DN | Contemporary, 23mm F1.4 DC DN | Contemporary, 30mm F1.4 DC DN | Contemporary and 56mm F1.4 DC DN | Contemporary.
Further, development of these four RF-mount primes was initially announced on April 23, 2024, alongside the 10–18mm f/2.8 DC DN | Contemporary and 18–50mm f/2.8 DC DN | Contemporary lenses. Both of those were released earlier this year. Consequently, Sigma now offers six APS-C format DC DN lenses for the Canon EOS R system. All six are also available for other mirrorless camera systems.
Sigma F1.4 DC DN | C RF-Mount Lens Details
A control algorithm including AF drive and communication speed optimization was developed specifically for RF-mount interchangeable lenses. In addition to realizing high-speed AF, the lenses also support servo AF and in-camera aberration correction.
The 30mm f/1.4 DC DN | Contemporary will retail for $369. The 56mm f/1.4 DC DN | Contemporary will retail for $529. Moreover, Sigma will release these two lenses for purchase on December 5, 2024.
What’s more, the 16mm f/1.4 DC DN | Contemporary will retail for $489. The 23mm f/1.4 DC DN | Contemporary will retail for $599. These lenses will reach retail on January 23, 2025.
