Verona, NJ—Sirui USA added a lens filter line that is designed to provide photographers with options for their creative needs. The filter line includes round threaded filters, 100mm x 100mm square filters and also 100mm x 150mm rectangle filters.
The filters are built to last with German-manufactured Schott plate glass B270 as well as an exclusive multilayer coating process. Furthermore, manufactured using lightweight, high-performance “scientific grade” aluminum, the filter rings are engineered to provide a high-strength, corrosion-resistant, stable attachment and filter alignment. Each filter comes with its own padded case for safe storage.

Sirui Ultra-Slim S-Pro Nano MC UV Filter
Filter model SUUV is geared for protecting expensive lenses from damage. It is available in 10 lens sizes. Also, the filter is extremely thin, measuring 2mm. The thin profile is aimed at eliminating vignetting, even with wide-angle lenses. In addition, the German-manufactured Schott plate glass B270 has a 22-layer antireflective coating to reduce reflection and provide light transmission of almost 100%. As a result of six additional layers of protective coatings, the final finish provides a waterproof, oil-resistant, scratch-resistant and antistatic surface for easier cleaning and better lens protection.
It is available in black in 40.5mm, 49mm, 52mm, 55mm, 58mm, 62mm, 67mm, 72mm, 77mm and 82mm sizes. They range in price from $24.94 to $59.94, depending on size.
Sirui Ultra-Slim S-Pro Nano MC Circular Polarizer Filter
Model SUCPL is for reducing reflections as well as glare, enhancing colors and increasing contrast. Available in three sizes—67mm ($79.94), 77mm and 82mm (each $84.94)—this filter measures 3.8mm. Again, it’s designed to eliminate vignetting, even with wide-angle lenses. Its Schott plate glass has multilayer, antireflective and protective coatings. In addition, the polarizer filter also creates greater tonal saturation and reduces haze and blue cast often encountered in landscape photography.
Sirui Ultra-Slim S-Pro Nano MC Neutral Density Filter
Model SUND1000 is a neutral density filter that darkens the entire image with a 1,000x filter factor that provides a 10-stop exposure reduction. This allows users to photograph with a slower shutter speed or wider aperture than normally required. By increasing the
aperture or by slowing the exposure time, they are able to control depth of field and convey movement more easily. Neutral density filters will not affect the coloration of the image.
The ND filter measures 2.8mm to eliminate vignetting. Furthermore the Schott plate glass has an exclusive multilayer, antireflective coating for linear, uniform light reduction from edge-to-edge, high light transmission and precise color rendition. Additional layers of protective coatings are applied to provide a waterproof, oil-resistant, scratch-resistant and antistatic surface.
The Sirui Ultra-Slim S-Pro Nano MC neutral density filter is available in an extended rim design adapting an 82mm filter to a 77mm lens ($95.94) or adapting a 95mm filter to an 82mm lens ($105.94). An accessory lens cap is included to account for the larger filter size.
Sirui Ultra-Slim S-Pro Nano MC Neutral Density Square Filter 100mm x 100mm
Model SUND is a 100mm x 100mm square neutral density filter that comes in four models. This square filter works with the Sirui filter holder (SUNDH01) or with other brands of 100mm filter holders. These filters, each sold separately, darken the entire image with up to a 1,000x filter factor. Consequently, they provide a 3–10 stop exposure reduction. The square filters have all the features of the S-Pro Nano MC neutral density filters. They are available in 3-, 4-, 6- and 10-stop densities, each retailing for $199.94.
Sirui Ultra-Slim S-Pro Nano MC Graduated Neutral Density Rectangular Filter 100mm x 150mm
Model SUSOFTGND is for use in challenging shoots with strong lighting in the background and darker areas in the foreground. The filter helps to darken specific areas of an image, such as the bright sky, while allowing for a normal exposure in the other segments of the image.
Furthermore, it is most dense at the edge and tapers to clear at the center, to create a smooth seamless image. Neutral density filters will not affect the coloration of the image and can be paired with other filters when needed. With its 100mm x 150mm size, it is perfect to adjust the placement on the filter holder to maximize the effect.
The filter is thin at 2.0mm and has multilayer, antireflective coatings for linear, uniform light control from edge-to-edge, high light transmission as well as better color rendition. Sirui Filter Holder 100mm
Model SUNDH01 is for use with the full line of Sirui 100mm filters and also with most manufacturers’ 100mm square filters from 1.7–2.3mm in thickness. The kit includes a 100mm filter holder body that fits directly on 82mm lenses; adapter rings for 67mm, 72mm and 77mm lenses; as well as an 82mm circular polarizing filter that can be used in conjunction with the square filters.
The main body is made of aluminum, and three separate slots in the adapter allow for stacking of filters. In addition, a rubber-coated star wheel in the back enables the filter to be turned to any angle needed while staying secure on the lens. It retails for $169.94.
