The company has made the adapter available in various mounts. They include Canon EF – Canon RF, Canon EF – Sony E, Canon EF – Fujifilm X, Canon EF – MFT, Canon EF – L mount, Arri PL – Canon RF, Arri PL – Sony E, Arri PL – Fujifilm X, Arri PL – MFT as well as Canon EF – L mount.
Venus Optics 0.7x Focal Reducer
Optimized for the Laowa 24mm f/14 2x Macro Probe, the 0.7x Focal Reducer effectively reduces the crop factor from 1.5x to 1.05x on Super35 and from 2x to 1.4x on Micro Four Thirds cameras. It also reserves the original perspective of the Probe lens. What’s more, it boosts the aperture by 1 stop, making it a brighter lens with an f/10 maximum.
The reducer allows users to mount Arri PL and Canon EF probe lenses onto different cameras. These models include the Canon EOS C70; RED Komodo; Sony APS-C series cameras; Fujifilm X series models; the Blackmagic Pocket Cinema Camera 4K; the Panasonic Lumix GH5; as well as the Leica CL.
In addition, the focal reducer is fully constructed with metal to provide stability as well as durability.
The Laowa 0.7x Focal Reducer for the Probe lens is currently available for purchase. It has a manufacturer’s suggested retail price of $250.
