Maumee, OH—The new ultracompact Westcott L120-B is a 120W bicolor light. Moreover, it expands the company’s L series of color-accurate LEDs for filmmakers, with an SSI of 92 and CRI/TLCI of 98+.
“It offers exceptional value with durable metal housing and output up to 23,900 lux at 1m with its [45º] ultra reflector,” Westcott announced. “A Bowens mount insert is included to utilize a wide variety of Rapid Box Switch portable light modifiers.”
Westcott L120-B Features
The L120-B combines build quality and color accuracy into a portable design. An AC adapter is also included for continuous use on standard outlets, with no heavy ballast required. However, the L120-B can run on V-mount batteries (sold separately). Further, with an adjustable color temperature range from 2700K to 6500K, the fixture is an option for various environment.
In addition, the light is dimmable from 1-100% and offers color accuracy (up to 98 CRI, 99 TLCI, 92 SSI), to help ensure consistent performance and minimal color correction. It also features intuitive control dials and an LCD display for adjustments. Also, the free Westcott StudioLink mobile app allows you to wirelessly control multiple L series lights and update firmware from an iOS or Android device. 
What’s more, a Bowens S-type mount and a free insert ($30 value) make it compatible with various light modifiers. It also has an umbrella mount for additional light control options.
Additionally, the light boasts built-in FX features. There are nine adjustable onboard special effects. They include lightning, TV screen flicker, fire as well as paparazzi flashes. Plus, it offers flicker-free output up to 4,000 fps with minimal heat and a low-decibel internal fan. And silent fan mode provides 30% intensity for noise-sensitive environments. Along with its metal housing, there is also a removable metal tilter bracket with 5/8″ (16mm) receiver that tilts and rotates 360° for positioning. 
Furthermore, the L120-B comes ready for use in the studio or on location. The package includes the L120-B LED light, a removable tilter bracket, an AC adapter, a 45° Ultra Reflector, a protective COB cover as well as a Westcott Rapid Box switch insert (Bowens)—in a travel case.
