Maumee, OH—Meet Westcott’s most compact 60W bicolor LED light. At 20% smaller than similar 60W lights, the Westcott L60-B provides versatile constant lighting for video and photo content creators. Moreover, users can customize brightness, color temperature, angle and lighting effects to illuminate and elevate a scene.
In addition, Westcott is offering portable lighting kit options with a Rapid Box Switch softbox and lightweight backpack.
“High color accuracy and consistency allow less color correction in post-processing. Compliment any environment with adjustable color temperature from 2700K tungsten (warm) to 6500K daylight (cool). It works excellently for run-and-gun filmmaking, video interviews, YouTube, TikTok filming, still photography and more,” the company announced.
Westcott L60-B Key Features
The bicolor LED emits high output for its 3.2×3.2×5.5-inch size. With the included 45° Ultra reflector, the portable constant light provides up to 15,000 lux at 1 meter (3.3 feet). In addition, users can pack the compact LED into its carry case to create professional content anywhere.
Plus, color accuracy and consistency result in less color correction in post-processing (up to 97 CRI, 98 TLCI, and 88 SSI). The device also enables flicker-free lighting up to 1,000 frames per sec with no jumps or skips, for seamless video and photography.
Furthermore, with nine built-in effects, the L60-B makes it easier to simulate lighting scenarios that will save time. At the turn of a dial, users can control the look of lightning, fire, TV screen flicker, faulty lightbulb, pulse, paparazzi flashes, headlights, SOS as well as emergency lights.
What’s more, the L60-B’s metal yoke with its 5/8-inch (16mm) receiver is capable of tilting and rotating 360° for precise positioning when mounted to a light stand. Photographers can also attach the optional battery grip for portability.
For shooting portraits, products or cinematic video, they can also use the included Westcott Mini light mount adapter ($30 value) for compatibility with Rapid Box Switch portable light modifiers. Other L60-B light–shaping accessories include a gel and umbrella mount; a diffusion dome; as well as a snoot.
The L60-B’s lightweight metal housing features two control dials and an LCD screen. Users can also operate the L60-B with the included AC power adapter or NP-F and D-Tap battery options (sold separately).
In addition, the free Westcott StudioLink mobile app allows users to wirelessly control multiple lights and update firmware via Bluetooth. It is available for both iOS and Android.
