North White Plains, NY—MeFoto launched the BYOT (Build Your Own Tripod) service, which allows consumers to color-customize a RoadTrip travel tripod. On-the-go photographers can choose from an array of 12 colors to design a unique RoadTrip tripod that reflects their individual style—be it their favorite color combination, favorite sports team or school.
“We want to make the gear that photographers use easy, intuitive and fun,” said Brian Hynes, MeFoto’s Brand manager. “Our goal is to give people creative freedom when it comes to the photo gear they rely on.”
The RoadTrip travel tripod is designed for point-and-shoot, mirrorless, Micro Four Thirds and DSLR cameras with larger lenses. The tripod measures 15.4 inches when folded and extends to 61.6 inches. It weighs 3.6 pounds and can support a load of 17.6 pounds. The RoadTrip can convert into a monopod in seconds; its removable leg and center column combine to make a full-size monopod without tools.
The new MeFoto BYOT starts at $249. mefoto.com
