Melville, NY—Canon USA introduced the point-and-shoot PowerShot V1 and interchangeable-lens EOS R50 V cameras to help creators—including cinema, livestreaming, vlogging and VR—heighten their visual storytelling.
Canon PowerShot V1
Canon built the PowerShot V1 as a lightweight, compact camera you can use anytime or anywhere. For vlogging, video as well as livestreaming, its key features include:
- A grip created for both normal and selfie shooting
- Built-in ultrawide-angle zoom lens: 17–52mm for movie recording; 16–50mm f/2.8–4.5 (equivalent) for still imagery
- 1.40-type sensor with 22.3 megapixels
- Dual Pixel CMOS AF II tech for improved AF speed and subject-detection tracking
- An internal cooling fan for longer video recording
- A still image/movie shooting switch—a PowerShot the first
- 30-frames-per-sec continuous still shooting

- Canon Log 3 to record movies with a wide dynamic range and 10-bit color depth
