Las Vegas, NV—Nikon entered the action camera market with the development of a product line that builds on Nikon’s optical and imaging technologies. The first in the line will be the Nikon KeyMission 360. The rugged camera is capable of recording 360º video in 4K UHD.

The Nikon KeyMission 360 features an image sensor and lens on opposite sides of the device, with images from each combining to create a single immersive, ultra-high-definition 360º video and still image. The camera is designed to be easy to use and withstand the elements. It’s waterproof to approximately 100 feet as well as dust- and shockproof. It can also handle low temperatures.

The 360º action cam also utilizes electronic vibration reduction (VR), enabled through applications during playback. VR reduces the effects of camera shake and helps produce sharp, crisp video.

Nikon is exhibiting reference models of the KeyMission 360 at its CES 2016 booth, along with a variety of dedicated accessories, that will officially be released in spring 2016. nikonusa.com
