Costa Mesa, CA—Paradigm Imaging Group, a distributor of large-format scanning and printing solutions, inked a new distribution agreement with Image Access for the WideTEK flatbed scanner series. Paradigm Imaging will offer WideTEK flatbed scanners to its network of resellers throughout North America.
WideTEK flatbed scanners come in two models: the WideTEK 25, with a scanning area of 18.5×25 inches; and the WideTEK 12, with a scanning area of 12.5×18.5 inches. Both scanners have the capability of capturing images in the normal 2D mode, with two newly developed LED lamps that produce diffused, natural light to avoid capturing folds and wrinkles. A new 3D feature adds potential markets; surface properties of the source material are captured and merged into the image in a natural way to produce vivid 3D-like images.
Key features of the WideTEK 25 scanner include: full-color flatbed scanning; an LED light source with a CCD sensor; 1,200×600-dpi optical resolution; dust-free camera technology; network scanning via web browser; integrated walk-up scanning software; the ability to scan to FTP, SMB, USB and e-mail; IR/UV-free LED lamps; and up to a five-year extended warranty. The scanner needs less than three seconds to scan its largest format.
The Scan2Net technology from Image Access forms the basis of the user interface. Intuitive to use via web browser or touch screen, it provides the operator with direct control over practically every scanner function. Using the touch-screen display, up to 30 (password-protected) jobs can be defined and stored. This allows operators to create and store templates and choose any predefined location on one of the network drives as a target for the scanned images. paradigmimaging.com
