Phoenix, AZ—Mutoh America, a manufacturer of wide-format printers, is making it easier to stay productive by connecting your Mutoh printers with the new ValueJet Status Monitor (VSM) version 3.04 and VSM Mobile Version 1.01. Exclusively for use with the latest Mutoh ValueJet printers, VSM Mobile version 1.01 is free and available for the iPhone; Android devices will be released soon.
With VSM Mobile, users can check the status of their Mutoh printer and receive notifications of problems in real-time animation right on their handheld device. VSM Mobile v1.01 has added features such as: output status to view current print job process; ink level status; printer status such as “open covers” and “lever up” notifications; and e-mail alerts to warn of low ink levels and full waste tanks. Plus, soon users will be able to check the part life of Mutoh printers, assisting in machine maintenance.
After registering a new printer on VSM Mobile, the status of the printer in the network that is connected to the VSM can be checked from the user’s handheld. Printer functions are monitored by VSM to ensure the printer is providing consistent output and notifies the operator via e-mail or smartphone if there is a problem.
