Las Vegas, NV—In addition to the FinePix S1, a weather-resistant super-zoom camera, and the rugged, waterproof FinePix XP70 point and shoot, Fujifilm North America Corp. debuted the super-zoom FinePix S9400W bridge camera with Wi-Fi, the S9200 without Wi-Fi, and the long-zoom FinePix S8600—all scheduled for March 2014.

FinePix S9400W (Wi-Fi) and FinePix S9200. The FinePix S9400W and S9200 both feature a 16.2 megapixel CMOS sensor with a maximum ISO sensitivity of 12,800 and rapid focusing speeds. They also offer bright f/2.9–6.5 lenses with 24–1200mm optical ranges and 50x optical zoom, which can be boosted to 100x with Fujifilm’s Intelligent Digital Zoom technology and down to 1cm in super macro mode.

The S9400W/S9200 both have a start-up time of one second, autofocus in 0.3 sec and are ready to take another shot in 0.5 sec. And they can capture a burst of full resolution images at a continuous shooting speed of 10 frames per second (maximum 10 frames). Other shared features include: 5-axial image stabilization in movie shooting; Full HD movie capture; a 200k-dot electronic viewfinder; 10 filter effects; motion panorama 360°; and High Dynamic Range capture.

Available exclusively on the S9400W, Wi-Fi connectivity allows users to share photos and movies with smartphones or tablets, without the need for an ID or password. Users can download the free Fujifilm Camera app to their device and then use wireless LAN to transfer images from the S9400W.

The FinePix S9400W will retail for $349.95, the FinePix S9200 for $329.95.

FinePix S8600. Providing the combination of a 36x zoom, fast autofocus and Full HD video capture, the pocketable S8600 features a 16MP sensor. The camera uses a newly developed three-step collapsible long-zoom lens, which automatically retracts when not in use to leave a slim, compact body.

Its 25–900mm focal range helps shoot sharp images of everything from wide-angle landscapes to detailed close-up pictures with its super macro mode. The S8600 also includes Fujifilm’s sensor-shift optical image stabilization system to reduce blurry pictures; 720 HD movie recording at 720p/30 fps; 3.0-inch LCD monitor (460k dots); face detection (up to 10 faces); a mode dial (PSM and burst shooting mode); 10 filters for creative effects; and mini HDMI output. The S8600 uses three AA batteries with an approximately 250-shot battery life. It will come in black, white and red. $229.95. fujifilmusa.com
