Kodak Releases Special Burton Adventure Edition of Playsport HD Video Camera

Rochester, NY—Kodak announced the Playsport Zx5 HD video camera Burton edition, designed after the Burton Custom Flying V 154 snowboard for people who love snowboarding, skiing and outdoor sports.

This “adventure” pocket video camera is engineered to meet the demands of even dedicated boarders to capture all the best moments of a day on the mountain, no matter the weather.
 
The special edition Playsport offers all of the features of the award-winning Kodak Playsport. “The Burton edition of the Playsport camera goes where you want to go, even in the harshest winter conditions,” said Phil Scott, vice president of Marketing, Digital Capture and Accessories, Kodak. “This little pocket-sized video camera iswaterproof [10 ft.] and shockproof, so no need to worry about carving through fresh powder or hitting a rail or hard pack in a terrain park. The easy-to-read interface and buttons are large enough to use even with gloves on. Plus, it's small enough to fit in your jacket or fleece yet powerful enough to capture HD video and still photos.”

The HD digital video camera records video in Full HD 1080p and captures 5 megapixel stills with autofocus, built-in image stabilization and in-camera editing options. Videocan be shot at 60 frames per second for slow motion recording or to stop the action.

The Burton-branded Playsport camera from Kodak comes bundled with an HDMI cable, remote control, 4GB SDHC memory card, a gripping tripod and carry case. The camera will be available in “custom blue” for an MSRP of $199.95 this fall. kodak.com
