Teaneck, NJ—Following up on the compact full-frame Leica Q3 with a 28mm fixed focal length, the company introduced the Leica Q3 43 with an integrated 43mm fixed focal length lens. The APO-Summicron 43mm f/2 Asph has a focal length that mirrors the natural perception of the human eye. Thus, it allows for the realistic composition of distortion-free images through the camera’s OLED viewfinder. Moreover, the 43mm focal length is an option for street photography and portraits. The lens also features a macro mode.
Leica Q3 43 Main Features
Leica engineered the Q3 43 to create sharp, high-contrast images in any lighting condition while still maintaining a compact, lightweight form. That’s true even with the complex construction of the apochromatically corrected lens with four aspherical lenses.
Its main features include:
- Its f/2 maximum aperture makes it possible to separate subjects from the background with a bokeh effect.
- Combined with its ISO performance, the APO lens enables short exposure times, even in low light.
- A BSI CMOS full-frame sensor with Triple Resolution technology gives you a choice between 60-, 36- and 18-megapixel resolutions.
- You can take photos and videos at the 43, 60, 75, 90, 120 as well as 150mm focal lengths by using frame lines displayed in the 5.76MP OLED viewfinder or on the 3-inch, tiltable touchscreen monitor.
- 8K video recording with multiple video formats, including .h265 and ProRes
- Wi-Fi and Bluetooth connectivity
- A new Leica Look: Leica Chrome gives images an analog charm
