Ridgefield Park, NJ—The new Polaroid dive-rated, waterproof housing is designed to bring digital cameras from Canon, Nikon, Olympus, Panasonic and Sony beneath the sea for underwater photography.
A solution geared for adventurous photo enthusiasts, the Polaroid underwater camera case is made of high-impact polycarbonate and can withstand water submersion down to 130 feet. It also offers protection from rain, snow or dusty and muddy environments, for photography in any conditions.
The camera case is designed to offer photo-quality viewing glass for reviewing imagery even while underwater, as well as provide easy access to controls for full camera function in any situation.
Compatible Camera Models
Compatible Canon camera models include: the EOS 70D (with an 18–55mm lens); 5D Mark III (with a 24–105mm lens); the PowerShot G1 X, G7 X, G11/G12, G15 and G16; the Elph S110; and the Rebel T2i, T3i, T4i and T5i (with 18–55mm lens).
Nikon cameras compatible with the Polaroid housing include: the Coolpix P7000 and Coolpix P7100; D7000 (with 18mm lens); D7100 (with 18mm lens); Nikon 1 J1 (with 10mm lens); and Nikon 1 V1 (with 10mm lens).
The housing also works with the Olympus OM-D E-M5 (with 12mm or 5–17mm lens).
Panasonic models that are compatible with the housing include: the Lumix DMC-GF2 (with 14–42mm lens); DMC-GF3 (with 14–42mm lens); DMC-GF5 (with 14–42mm lens); and DMC-GF6 (with 14–42mm lens).
Sony cameras that work with the new underwater case include: the Alpha A6000 (with 16–50mm lens); A7 (with 27–70mm lens); NEX-3 (with 16mm lens); NEX-3N (with 18mm lens); NEX-5 (with 16mm lens); NEX-5N (with 16mm or 18mm lens); NEX-C3 (with 16mm or 18mm lens); NEX 6 (with 16mm or 18mm lens); NEX 7 (with 16mm or 18mm lens); NEX-5R (with 18mm lens); and Cyber-shot RX100 and RX100 II.
