Melville, NY—To help creators share and save memoriesCanon USA, Inc., introduced a new version of the Ivy mini photo printer: the Canon Ivy 2. A small, portable photo printer is an easy way to bring consumers unique moments to life.
The Ivy 2 is an upgrade from its predecessor. As such, it delivers higher–quality pictures; a faster charging battery; and better connectivity. It now enables DIY creators to “print, peel, stick and go” with more personal, customized creative expression.
“Our Canon customers continually motivate us to focus on enhancing daily experiences and preserving important memories; whether they are using Canon products for the first time or they have been with us since the beginning,” said Isao “Sammy” Kobayashi, senior vice president and general manager of Canon USA, Inc.
“As a Canon leader, the Ivy product line is personal for me, as we are frequently finding our product’s user base is new to the brand. So, I am very excited for our team to bring you our new Ivy 2 mini photo printer with enhanced picture quality and improved user experience.”
Canon Ivy 2 Mini Photo Printer Features
Ivy creators can quickly print photos of family, friends, pets or any other source of inspiration from a compatible smartphone onto sticky photo paper. Then, they can add them to a scrapbook, a laptop or virtually anywhere. What’s more, the compact printer fits into a small purse or even a pocket.
In addition, a new 100-sheet photo sticker paper pack is available as a separate purchase. The expanded pack frees up everyday Ivy users to continually print without the worry of running out of sheets.
The printer is a tool for kids at home as well as kids at school who take pictures with a smartphone or tablet. With the second-generation of the mini photo printer, they can decorate and share stickers with friends.
They can “print, peel, stick, go,” peeling off the back of the printed photo and sticking the picture to personal belongings. Or they can add it to a scrapbook with favorite photos.
Parents and scrapbookers can also make use of the Ivy 2, printing pictures to add to a photo album, their fridge and other creative spaces.
The mini photo printer is available in two colors: pure white and blush pink. Furthermore, it takes just a few minutes to set up. The multicolor LED will clearly indicate printer status. In addition, using a compatible USB cable, the printer can fully charge in 45 minutes. Further, users can connect the Ivy 2 to a compatible smartphone with Bluetooth.
The printer also utilizes ZINK Zero Ink technology from ZINK. The technology enables the printer to produce full–color photos without the need for ink cartridges. Moreover, ZINK paper is also available in precut circle sticker form (purchased separately).
Canon Mini Printer App
What’s more, to set and send print jobs, users can download the free Canon Mini Printer app. The app offers the option to print individual smudge-free, 2×3-inch prints or stickers.
From selfies to sunsets, this feature offers the freedom of expression for a variety of consumers. The app includes creative filters, such as photo frames and stickers, as well as image collage templates. It also provides additional photo-editing tools, including the ability to add text, frames and the option to draw.
The Canon Ivy 2 mini photo printer has an estimated retail price is $129.99. The price includes the printer and a starter pack of 10 sheets of 2×3-inch photo paper. The Canon ZINK photo paper pack will also be available for the first time with 100 sheets later this year.
