Melville, NY—The Canon Selphy Square compact photo printer leverages dye-sublimation technology to create high-quality photo prints that can last for up to 100 years. The Square QX10 produces 2.7×2.7-inch prints for sharing or saving. Moreover, the peel-off adhesive back paper makes it easy to decorate walls and belongings with the photos.
“Quality, ease of use and convenience are imperative attributes our company relies on when bringing forth new imaging products to an ever-changing landscape,” said Kazuto Ogawa, president and chief executive officer, Canon USA, Inc. “The new Canon Selphy Square printer continues our heritage of offering multiple, creative and unique ways consumers can experiment with imagery and be true to themselves with their conduit of expression.”
From decorating a work/living space and crafting to recipes and photo albums, consumers can create their own square vision.

With dye-sub technology included within the printer, users can set it up quickly. The newly updated Canon Print app, Selphy Photo Layout version 2.0, allows consumers to scan a QR code directly featured on the printer. It instantly pairs a compatible handheld device to the Selphy Square QX10 via Wi-Fi. In addition, the app enables users to add a personal touch to their images. They can use creative templates as well as add stickers, borders and text. As a result, each print can have an individual stamp of expression.
What’s more, the square-format framed sticker-type paper provides boundless opportunities to leave a creative mark. Moreover, the prints dry quickly, and a protective coating also shields them from water damage and smudges. In addition to its compact size, the Selphy Square printer is powered by a built-in rechargeable battery, which adds to its portability.
Available in black, white, pink and green models, the Selphy Square printer has a suggested retail price of $149.99. In addition, a 20 pack of paper is available for $14.99.
