Palo Alto, CA—HP Inc. unveiled its reinvented, next-generation DeskJet All-in-One (AiO) printer for always-connected consumers. Designed to print from Facebook, Instagram and also other social networks, the DeskJet 3700 is half the size of other inkjet AiO printers in its class, according to HP, yet combines print, scan and copy capabilities.
Furthermore, the redesigned DeskJet comes HP Instant Ink-ready and offers printing from a smartphone or tablet. The printer is available in various color hues, from electric blue to sea grass green as well as stone. More color options will be released.
“Consumers crave tiny, wireless devices that fit into their lifestyle and enable them to stay connected, social and productive wherever they may be,” said Sue Richards, general manager and vice president, HP Consumer Printing. “HP’s new DeskJet turns the traditional consumer printing experience on its head with its innovative, fun design and intuitive mobile connectivity from virtually any device or social network.”
Setting up and printing directly from a mobile device is accomplished via the HP All-in-One Remote mobile application. The free app provides users with key features that include printing, copying and scanning wirelessly from most smartphones and tablets. This includes Apple, Android and Windows devices. Using Wi-Fi Direct, consumers can print from mobile devices and access their printer without a network.
They can also print, share and design custom photos from Facebook, Instagram and Flickr or directly from a phone’s camera roll with the free HP Social Media Snapshots app. HP offers 4×5 sticky photo paper tailored for the Social Media Snapshots app. And, using HP Printbot, Facebook Messenger users can print content from a Facebook Messenger conversation. In addition to printing photos and documents, the bot lets users add printers, print from the printer’s history and order supplies.
The HP DeskJet 3700 All-in-One printer will be available later this month for an SRP of $69.99.

The company also has a consumer ink membership program. With the HP Instant Ink program, customers can get a subscription plan for $2.99 per month, with ink shipped to their door at no extra cost. That is a savings of up to 50%. HP Instant Ink also includes three different plan options. Users can change or cancel online at any time without an annual fee. hp.com
