Denver, CO—Ricoh Imaging Americas Corporation launched the latest in its advertureproof camera lineup, the Ricoh WG-M1 action camera. For active, outdoor shooters, the WG-M1 is waterproof to a depth of 32 feet (without a protective housing), shock-resistant against a 6-foot fall and cold-resistant to temperatures as low as 14° F.
With an ultra-wide-angle lens, it’s also engineered to record Full HD movies with a realistic sense of depth. And its host of features includes multitasking, which allows users to check real-time images during both still and movie recording.
The WG-M1 boasts 14 effective megapixels and high-speed, continuous shooting at a speed of roughly 10 images per second. Its lightweight body features an outdoor-oriented design, large control buttons and 1.5-inch color LCD monitor. Combining the action cam with newly introduced camera-mount accessories opens creative options in capturing images and movies.
“With the WG-M1, we’re building on the foundation of the adventureproof, WG world,” said Jim Malcolm, executive vice president, Ricoh Imaging Americas Corporation. “By combining Wi-Fi connectivity and dynamic image quality, the WG-M1 captures life’s adventures in motion, from the top of a mountain to your own backyard.”
The WG-M1 comes with a carabiner-equipped strap for carrying and a WG adhesive mount to attach the camera to different surfaces. In addition, numerous optional accessories are available, including a wrist strap mount, a helmet mount and a magnet mount.
The Ricoh WG-M1 has a suggested retail price of $299.95. us.ricoh-imaging.com
