Carlstadt, NJ—Whether vacationing, hiking or walking around town, a tripod can improve image quality, but for on-the-go photographers it needs to be compact and lightweight. To address that need Sirui, specializing in the manufacture of professional tripods, monopods, ball heads and related accessories since 2001, announced the Sirui T-004X and T-024X tripod kits.
Both tripods can stand up to 58 inches tall and fold down to 15.7 inches—small enough to fit into a bag or backpack. Designed for use with mirrorless, interchangeable-lens cameras, compact DSLRs, camcorders and point-and-shoot digital cameras, they can hold up to 13.2 pounds. Sirui T-004/024 tripods have a center column that moves up and down for fast height adjustments.
The tripod kits include the compact Sirui C-10X ball head. It has a separate knob for panning and a main lock for added control and creativity. Its Arca-compatible quick-release platform adds flexibility, and the head includes a Sirui quick-release plate.
Sirui T-024X. Weighing 2 pounds, the compact tripod features lightweight, eight-layer, 100% carbon fiber legs and is engineered to provide enhanced vibration reduction. A short center column permits tabletop, macro and low-angle shooting. The legs fold up 180° for extra compactness. In addition, for speed and convenience, each leg has an automatic leg angle lock mechanism, while half-turn leg locks help make setup and breakdown fast and easy. For use on uneven terrain, there are three leg angle positions, and a hook on the bottom of the tripod can hold a weight bag for increased stability.
Sirui T-004X. This compact aluminum tripod comes in blue, red or black and weighs 2.5 pounds. Aluminum alloy parts are high-temperature forged for strength, and Sirui’s custom anodized surface treatment is said to ensure “superior wear and corrosion resistance.” Its included short center column lets users get as close as 4.9 inches from the ground, and the tripod offers all of the same leg functions as the T-024X carbon fiber tripod.
As with all Sirui products the T-004X/T-024X tripod kits come with a six-year U.S. warranty when purchased from a U.S. authorized Sirui dealer.
