Los Alamitos, CA—Enabling the creation of exhibition-quality prints from a desktop, Epson’s 13-inch SureColor P700 and 17-inch SureColor P900 desktop photo printers are shipping. In parallel, Epson released the new Epson Print Layout software for iOS devices. It allows users to print directly from an iPhone or iPad in a full color managed workflow.
“Today many carry a high-resolution camera in their iOS mobile devices; and a majority of our photographs are often forgotten in our camera roll or posted once on social media. Epson Print Layout Software
The SureColor P700 and SureColor P900 are the first printers compatible with Epson Print Layout software for iOS. Subsequently, it gives users an intuitive workflow with easy printer selection, layout and color management settings. It also integrates an advanced black-and-white mode live preview with iOS devices.
In addition, the software provides the ability to change paper orientation, as well as arrange, size and crop images. Users may also customize frame and border options for gallery wrap printing. Moreover, the app offers automatic paper sizing for panoramas to create frame-ready prints on various Epson media and sizes directly from a mobile device. 
What’s more, Epson Print Layout software for Microsoft Windows and MacOS desktop users was updated to reflect the new Epson Media Installer features on the SureColor P700 and SureColor P900. Epson integrated additional improvements in usability, compatibility and performance. Support for all compatible SureColor P-series printers is also available.
Epson Print Layout for iOS is available at no cost on the Apple App Store. The desktop Microsoft Windows and MacOS apps are also available for free download at epson.com/epsonprintlayout.
The new compact desktop printers, which replace the SureColor P600 and SureColor P800 respectively, are the first models with a new 10-channel MicroPiezo AMC printhead. It has dedicated channels for both photo and matte black ink types. They also utilize the new UltraChrome Pro10 pigment ink with violet for a wider color gamut.
In addition, the compact printers support advanced black-and-white mode to create professional black-and-white photographs. They also include carbon black mode, which increases Dmax by up to 11%; it also reduces bronzing and gloss differential on glossy papers.
