Phoenix, AZ—Tether Tools announced an upgrade to the Smart Shooter tethered capture utility software. Smart Shooter 4 is a digital photography workflow application for tethered shooting, remote capture and advanced camera control. In addition, it provides tethered capture for most Canon and Nikon cameras.
Smarter Shooter 4 Features
New features in Smart Shooter 4 include: a reworked interface for faster speed and performance; Mac and Windows support; a higher performance tethering engine; and automatic download and display. It also permits shooting to a camera card, computer or both, and it now supports RAW and JPG files. In addition, live view display is also included in overlay mode. 
In addition, the capture tab now has configurable panels that allow for advanced tethering features. These include multiple loupe views, filmstrip photo preview and zoomed live view. Also, a new set of high-contrast icons makes it easier to identify features at a glance. 
Furthermore, the recent photos list was updated with an all-new filmstrip panel. Now users can visually see thumbnails of previous photos taken and switch between them in the main preview panel.
Tether Tools Collaboration
In addition, Tether Tools announced a partnership with Kuvacode Oy, creator and developer of Smart Shooter. The agreement allows Tether Tools to become a development partner and exclusive global distributor of Smart Shooter. The collaboration combines Tether Tools’ 10 years of experience helping photographers with tethered photography and Kuvacode’s exceptional software quality.
Smart Shooter 4 retails for $69.95. Smarter Shooter 4 Pro has a price of $195.95. Moreover, discounting pricing is provided to those who purchased Smart Shooter 3 between October 1, 2018 and December 31, 2018.
