Rochester, NY—Kodak says it’s new Playfull Waterproof pocket video camera is the perfect size to have on hand for any occasion, and the camera is designed for worry-fee shooting.

It can be used up to 10 feet underwater and includes an underwater white balance mode for true-to-life colors in the pool or under the waves. It’s also dustproof and shockproof enough to withstand a five-foot fall.

“Today’s consumers are looking for products that offer worry free simplicity while meeting the needs of their active lifestyles,” said Phil Scott, vice president of Marketing, Digital Capture and Accessories, Kodak. “A video camera should be easy to use, convenient to carry and designed so you don’t worry about it regardless of where you are. That is why the new Kodak Playfull Waterproof video camera is small enough to fit easily in a pocket or small purse, is waterproof so it is always with you for those unpredictable moments and it’s affordable.”

Kodak’s “share” button and pop-out USB arm make it simple to e-mail videos from the camera directly to friends or to upload to social networks and photo-sharing sites—even at the same time.

Other features include: a 2.0-inch LCD; the capability to record 10 hours of 720p HD video utilizing the expandable SD/SDHC card slot that can hold up to a 32GB card; an HDMI port; and capture effects like black and white, sepia, high saturation and three 70’s film effects (muted colors, a slightly green cast, and a little graininess for a retro look).

The Kodak Playfull Waterproof is available in black for $119.95 with a 4GB SDHC memory card and in red or white for $99.95 without the SDHC card. kodak.com
