Video and electronics giant JVC along media memory technology makers SanDisk have announced their participation in the PDN/Picture Business PhotoPlus 2009 Video Pavilion.

The two companies join a growing list of exhibitors in the pavilion that includes Vimeo, an online video sharing site; Millenniata, a maker of archival storage products; Shutter Stock, a video footage stock site; and iDC/Photo Video, an online photo/video accessory store.

The organizers of the PDN Photo Plus International Conference & Expo and Picture Business magazine announced the addition of a Video Pavilion as part of this years’ show – October 22-24 at the Jacob K. Javits Convention Center in New York. The Video Pavilion addresses the recent and profound changes happening in the pro photography market.

The show floor was a buzz in 2008 as photographers/attendees were treated to a world of image capture that introduced motion to explore the nature of a subject coupled with the remarkable definition and ‘scrutability’ of today’s still image capability. Yes, video has invaded the shores of the DSLR world and the PhotoPlus 2009 Video Pavilion will shine a spotlight on this explosive trend.

PDN PhotoPlus Expo is the only photography trade show that has dedicated a section of its show floor specifically to manufacturers and distributors of video equipment including cameras, accessories, and software.  Thanks to the convergence of still photography and video and the desire of photographers to offer clients a wider range of services, including video, PDN PhotoPlus Expo 2009 will showcase the world of video to its 27,000 + attendees with a special Video Pavilion located within the PDN PhotoPlus trade show floor.
