Apple Opens Huge New York Store

Apple on Friday night will open its third store in Manhattan which, according to Reuters, is its second-largest in the country.

The new store is the largest representation yet of Apple’s new store concept, which emphasizes customer service and a “just hanging out” atmosphere. The store, locating at 14th Street and 9th Avenue in the “Meatpacking District” made famous by “Sex and the City,” will dedicate an entire floor to tech support, and its “Genius Bar” will be 46 feet long.

The other Apple Stores in Manhattan are the “Glass Cube” located on Fifth Avenue in Midtown, and on Prince Street in the downtown Soho district.
