Athentech Imaging announced that they have adapted their Perfectly Clear iPhone app for the iPad, and told us the $6 application is “re-engineered to create astonishing pictures” on the larger screen.
The company demo’d the new tool at PhotoPlus that adds a “Perfectly Smooth” correction rendering flawless skin tones. The company also updated its iPhone app – Perfectly Clear 2.0 that “offers a robust and powerful noise reduction feature that eliminates the graininess so often associated with iPhone images.” The iPhone app is priced at $5.
The company also announced that v1.5 of its Photoshop plug-in adds 32 and 64 bit processing engines, smarter sharpening, incredibly efficient memory management and works with layers and selections ($200). Athentech claims the plug-ins algorithms correct photos in 2 seconds, as compared to 5-7 minutes taken by Adobe experts for manual correction, Athentech added, “and most users have stated that they prefer the instant correction.” For a free trial version of the Photoshop Perfectly Clear Plug-In click here.
