CVS Presents Digital Sundays

CVS/pharmacy recently announced the national launch of its first-ever “Digital Sundays” program, in-store events that are essentially free digital photography workshops for consumers available in all CVS locations with one-hour photo.

The CVS “Digital Sundays” actually began several weeks ago and will continue through the end of August, 2007. The events are held, as you may have guessed, every Sunday from noon until 2:00 p.m. through August 2007. Most locations have reported solid attendance and are claiming consumers are eager for the help with their digital cameras.

Among the topics covered thus far are digital camera quality settings; what to consider when purchasing media cards, batteries and storage; basic photo editing skills; hands-on instruction using in-store kiosks; and instruction on how to make a variety of photo gift items such as collages, calendars and photo mugs.

“Digital Sundays will provide consumers with the opportunity to learn the basics of digital photography and the various options available for printing at a convenient location — their local CVS/pharmacy,” said Mike Bloom, Senior Vice President of Merchandising for CVS/pharmacy. “Many consumers feel overwhelmed by the numerous printing options for digital photos. These interactive workshops will give them the freedom to have fun with their photos and will end some of the technology mysteries of digital cameras.”

Internet processing with the one-hour in-store pick-up option as well as in-store kiosk processing is now available at more than 5,400 CVS/pharmacy stores nationwide and through the CVS Photo Center: www.cvsphotocenter.com
