The technology distributor Ingram Micro announced Wednesday that it has purchased the net assets of DBL Distributing. The transaction is for $96 million, and will be financed through Ingram Micro’s current borrowing capacity, the company said in a statement.
“Our acquisition of DBL Distributing is another step forward in Ingram Micro’s consumer electronics strategy,” Ingram Micro CEO Greg Spierkel said in the company’s announcement.
Once the deal is completed, DBL will operate as a wholly owned subsidiary of Ingram Micro. Ingram Micro will also take ownership of NXG Technology, the DBL-owned brand of audio/video installation products.
