DBL Distributing Wednesday announced the implementation of some internal upgrades, including the addition of the system infrastructure IMpulse. DBL plans for the system, which comes from its parent company Ingram Micro, will help increase efficiency across all the company’s departments.

Changes made possible by the new system, DBL said, will include "advanced reporting, inventory control measures, enhanced forecasting, automated warehouse product allocation standards, automated replenishment notifications and advanced invoice and purchase order creation and tracking."

"The launch of IMpulse is an exciting milestone in DBL history," Brent McCarty, DBL’s vice president and general manager, said in a statement. "We can better serve our customers with this newly deployed infrastructure, technology and processes by streamlining workload among all departments. DBL foresees a surge of vendor and customer growth through this new enterprise and DBL’s cross selling product opportunities."
