Online retailing has come a long way since it first began getting attention in the late 1990s. Some reports claim U.S. retailers generated over $200 billion in online revenue in 2006. When compared to the $8 billion generated in 1998, you can see the growth rate has been staggering.

As more and more consumers begin to discover the convenience of shopping online retailers of all kinds have had to find ways to balance their brick and mortar business with their e-commerce efforts.
