No less than 56 manufacturers offered up digital frames at CES 2007 as the category has absolutely exploded in the last 6 months. Among the most notable manufacturers with new product was Kodak, as the line they showcased was more of a re-entry into this category for Big Yellow. The Kodak frames will be EasyShare-branded and include 7, 8, and 10-inch models. The 8-inch and 10-inch frames will feature Wi-Fi capability. Each frame in the line will also offer a universal card reader as well as USB ports. Add built-in stereo speakers and the ability to play back MP3 files to feature set on each. Prices will range from $129 to $279. Look for further coverage of the digital frame category in an upcoming issue of Picture Business magazine.
