Elite Brands (EBI) recently announced it has entered an agreement to license the Bell + Howell brand name to market lines of optical and imaging products including digital cameras and camcorders, binoculars, telescopes, lenses and various camera accessories.

The company said it recently started delivering some of the first of the new Bell + Howell products including hand-held digital video cameras and camcorders with night vision and weatherproof construction, d-SLR flash units and tripods, and binoculars for marine and general use.

Models include EBI patent-pending technologies including its use of touch-screen controls and night vision technology.

In addition the company said it is planning models with proprietary 3D capability.

EBI said it is currently rolling out select new Bell + Howell products to major mass market retailers and e-commerce sites.

“This new licensing agreement with EBI is part of Bell + Howell's current brand expansion into an exciting, high-demand range of products,” stated Bonnie Pressman, Bell + Howell marketing and branding director. “Since we share the same creative vision and focus on designing top-tier quality products, joining forces with EBI is a perfect fit.   As we continue to build the Bell + Howell brand through new product development, expansion of distribution channels, enhanced channel marketing and relationships with consumers and retailers, this new licensing partnership will certainly contribute to the success and longevity of the Bell + Howell brand.”

EBI was established in 1979 as a manufacturer of optical, optical-mechanical and optical-mechanical-electronic products.

The company grew into one of the world's largest manufacturers and distributors of 35mm interchangeable single-lens reflex camera lenses.

The company builds equipment for more than 80 different private label brands, and stocks and ships many of its own in-house brands as well as licensed brands.
