Epson Introduces Craft and Scrapbook Retail Program

993

Epson has announced a Craft and Scrapbook Retail Program aimed at tackling the digital scrapbooking market from three angles. For retailers, Epson has established an “authorized dealer status” which translates into improved pricing on Epson products and services. The second element is a mini-lab workstation-on-wheels called the Epson Scrapbook Central. The third is an online “CreativeZone” housing scrapbooking projects (such as SuperBowl and Valentine’s Day projects) that can be used for in-store classes for customers.

Rajeev Mishra, director, new ventures, Epson America, Inc., explains, “Many specialty retailers have seen their traditional scrapbook customers begin to explore digital scrapbooking and crafts. Epson’s Craft and Scrapbook Retail Program enables retailers to stay ahead of these growing needs by providing customers with high-quality digital products and in-store solutions.”

The Scrapbook Central, which sells for $8,999 (training included, leasing option available), can be used to scan, restore, edit, copy and print photographs, slides, negatives and scrapbook pages in different sizes and finishes. Images can be burned to CD for a customer’s archive. Customers can bring in their photos on a CD, DVD, in a digital camera or on some other storage media. Password protection keeps customer information secure. The station works off of a Windows-based PC with an Epson Expression 10000XL large format scanner, an Epson Stylus Photo R800 printer and an Epson Stylus Photo R1800 printer and features a 15-inch touch screen monitor.
