We have always felt that photo contests have been a most effective way to get your customers’ creative juices flowing. And nothing turns a creative spark into a flame quicker than photography. Canon is teaming with the Pro Football Hall of Fame and former NFL quarterback Archie Manning to present Why Do You Love Football? amateur photo contest. The contest is launching this week with a November 27, 2006 deadline for submissions. Along with a trip for four to both the 2007 Super Bowl and the pro Football Hall of Fame, the winning image will be featured in the Hall of Fame.
The NFL, and football in general, has never been more popular, and the timing of the contest certainly gives your customers a reason to keep their cameras clicking after a long summer of picture taking. As we said, photo contests have always been a great idea, and we simply don’t see imaging retail getting involved in enough of them.
