A new technology known as “High Speed Bluetooth,” which will combine Wi-Fi and Bluetooth technologies, will make communication much easier for users, especially those handling large files. That’s according to a report released earlier this week by ABI Research.
The brief, “Bluetooth Over 802.11,” concludes that High Speed Bluetooth is the next logical progression in wireless technology.
“For consumers it’s a win, because the upgrade is totally transparent to them. They’ll just see better data throughput and faster file transfers,” ABI senior analyst Douglas McEuen said as part of the announcement.
