From now until Oct. 1, photographers across the U.S. have a chance to win a Mitsubishi CP-9810DW photographic printer complete with a roller case and box of CK-9057 media. The package, with a value of over $1,800, will be awarded as the grand prize to the winner of Mitsubishi Digital Electronics America’s Changing of the Seasons online photo contest.
Contestants are challenged to submit up to three photographs that best illustrate the change from summer to fall. To win, participants must be the sole owner of images entered, and all of the work needs to be the original work of the entrant. Photos will be judged based on a range of factors, including composition, technical ability, originality, interpretation and the commercial appeal of the photographs.
“The changing seasons takes on many different meanings for different people and because of that, the possibilities for this contest are endless,” said Darla Achey, marketing specialist, Mitsubishi Digital Electronics America. “For students, it means going back to school; for nature enthusiasts, it may mean changing foliage or perhaps a person bundling up for the cold; for sports enthusiasts, it means the beginning of football or the baseball playoffs. With so many different possibilities, everyone here at Mitsubishi Digital Electronics America is very excited about the pictures we’re going to see.”
All photos submitted must be used for the sole purpose of this contest and not be sold for profit or used in any other competition. Images can be digitally enhanced or altered to remove spots or scratches, but not manipulated. Photographs of people are permitted, but there must be written consent of the subject, and all participants must be 18 years of age, or have written consent from a parent or guardian.
“With pictures being submitted from photographers all around the country, this contest will serve as an educational opportunity for people who browse the submissions,” added Achey. “It will allow people the chance to see how others from different backgrounds experience the change of seasons, and it will give our photographers a great opportunity to connect with each other.”
