Scalado, a mobile imaging software solutions company and Kodak recently announced that Scalado’s SpeedTags technology will be implemented in Kodak’s upcoming KSP-720060 TRUESENSE enabled image signal processor (ISP).

Scalado’s technology will be integrated in the KSP-720060 and follow-on stand-alone ISP companion chips, enabling, as the companies explain, “quick and easy management of large files and a significant improvement in overall JPEG image handling performance in mobile devices, such as camera phones and PDAs, and digital still cameras .”

“Kodak is committed to bringing industry-leading DSC and video performance to next-generation imaging devices,” said Chris McNiffe, General Manager of Kodak’s Image Sensor Solutions business.  “The combination of Scalado’s SpeedTags™ and Kodak’s advanced image processing will enable us to offer a best in class end user experience for capturing, storing, retrieving and manipulating images directly on mobile phones and other portable devices.”

“In this fast-moving market, it makes sense for technology leaders to work together," said Fadi Abbas, Co-Founder and VP Business Development and Partnerships at Scalado. "For this reason, Scalado is going to great lengths to ensure that our unique technologies are accessible for everyone in the imaging value chain, whether that means hardware companies, software developers, Multimedia chipset manufacturers, component suppliers, ISPs, or others.

"We will continue to encourage and invite all of these companies to partner with us, so that together we can deliver the very best imaging solutions and applications for any and all markets." For more information, please visit www.scalado.com.
