Sony Electronics Thursday announced that it will be showcasing its 3D solutions at CEA Line Shows, June 22-23  in New York.  The company will showcase its comprehensive line of 3D BRAVIA LCD TVs, Blu-ray 3D players and additional products with 3D functionality.  Sony's exhibit will also highlight live-action feeds from the FIFA World Cup in South Africa, which is being produced by using the company's professional 3D broadcast technology.

“Sony is the only company that can capture the excitement of motion pictures and live action sports in 3D – and then deliver the enhanced consumer experience at home, ”  said Michael Fasulo, Executive Vice President and Chief Marketing Officer, Sony Electronics. “Our CEA Line Shows exhibit will demonstrate how exclusive 3D content combined with advanced 3D technology can take the viewing experience to an entirely new level.”

On display in the largest CEA Line Shows exhibit space is the new line of Sony BRAVIA 3D televisions.  The models offer integrated 3D functionality with Sony’s 3D active glasses and built-in 3D transmitter. They incorporate a frame sequential display and active-shutter glasses that work together with Sony's proprietary high frame rate technology reproducing full high-definition 3D images.

Each day at 2 p.m. ET the Sony 3D televisions will provide live feeds from the FIFA World Cup in South Africa via the new ESPN 3D channel, which is scheduled to launch June 11.  Nigeria is scheduled to play South Korea in 3D on Tuesday, June 22, followed by Ghana vs. Germany on Wednesday, June 23.

CEA Line Shows is being organized in association with CEA, the producer of the International CES, along with Martin Porter Associates and Consumer Technology Publishing Group/NAPCO, publisher of Dealerscope, Custom Retailer and E-Gear Magazines.
