Sprint announced this week that the first U.S. phone to run on a 4G network, the HTC EVO 4G, will arrive June 4 at a price of $199.99.
The phone works as a 3G phone, adding 4G capabilities in areas where Sprint's 4G network is available. The device runs Android 2.1 and boasts two cameras, plus built-in hotspot functionality and access to Qik video chats.
The device will be carried at Best Buy, Walmart and RadioShack, in addition to Sprint's own retail stores.
