While the high-definition camcorder sector remains a young market, it is showing a large amount of activity that comprises 25 percent of the value of the overall camcorder market, despite making up only 10 percent of sales. That’s according to a survey released last week by the research firm Understanding and Solutions.
The survey also found that the average price of an HD camcorder is about $1,300, a number that is expected to halve in the next four years.
While it was released by a British firm, the report covers the market in the United States.
